1 Lave the honour to report on the at-
tendance at this School during the year 1904. There are
still one or two parents who keep their children away
from school for very trifling causes, but otherwise the
attendance now seems to be about as good as "we.-kave a
right to expect when we consider all the conditions. You
will notice that the worst months are September and
December. The reason in the first case is that we opened
the school in the middle of September and several parents,
although they had been informed that only half fees
would be charged, preferred to keep their children at
home until the beginning of the next month. The December
falling off is accounted for by the approach of Christ-
mas with its festivities.
